Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful first Christmas with Jackson. What a different kind of Christmas with a little one in the house. Not only was it a great first Christmas we has other firsts this holiday season.

We spent Christmas eve with Grandpa Pete and Grandma Felicia. It was a night of hanging out and eating hors d'oeuvre's. I made a artichoke dip, deviled eggs and fudge. I knew it would be somewhat difficult getting it all done so we could get there in time, but somehow I did it and I am not sure how...But then we had one of our firsts...I had everything ready to go and Jack and I were waiting for Dustin when Jackson vomited once a little and then a second time he projectiled all over me. In my hair, on my clothes, out his nose and all over his face. Jackson took it like a champ. He did not really cry, we just got him cleaned up and I had to take a shower before we left and of course we were late. No one really cared that we were late and it was a nice relaxing night filled with family. Jack never acted sick so we don't know if it was a little bug or what.

The next day was Christmas morning and Jackson woke up around 8:00, so not too bad. We got up and started to open presents. Jackson was pretty oblivious to what was going on, but if we put some paper in his hand he would grab hold and we would pull the package away and the present would be unwrapped. He did this a few times and then got a little overwhelmed. He was of course spoiled rotten by his grandparents!

The first video is his first ever Christmas present fro Santa...just in time for the Sugar Bowl.

At 12:00 we went over to Grandpa and Grandma's again to open presents with Jackson's aunts and uncles. It was crazy as usual and the kids had a great time with their presents.

For Christmas dinner we went to the Waldon's. Rebbecca made a delicious roast with all the trimmings. Lauren was home from UC Berkley where she finished her first semester of college with straight A's. While at their house Jackson had his second first and that was he rolled from his back to his belly. He has gone from belly to back before, but never from back to belly. He did it several times as we all cheered for him.

All and all we had a wonderful Christmas. We missed all the family that we couldn't be with, but we were with them in spirit and either talked on the phone or skyped. It sounds like it was a nice Christmas for all even if it was a bit exhausting!

Love the video of Jackson rolling over. He would've kept going if the couch weren't in the way!
