First Cerel

So we finally did it. We gave Jackson his first cereal (January 2). To remember this exciting event we paired it with the greatest football game this season and that was Utah's win over Alabama!!! How could we ever forget the ability for Utah to overcome every one's predictions of a win by the Crimson Tide. Before the game started we sat Jack in his Bumbo chair and had some delicious rice cereal.

We had waited because his doctor said with all of my allergies it was a good idea to wait on the cereal until he was 5-6 months old. Lately he has really been watching us enjoy our meals so I decided that is was time for him to try too. He did extremely well, once he understood he was supposed to keep the cereal in his mouth.

Watching the Ute game was a blast! It helped that the Utes won. Grandpappy Pete, Uncle Porter and Eric came over to our house to watch the game and partake in the eating of one of Dustin's favorite foods, Winger's wings. It was crazy to watch the game. I think we were a little fearful of getting too excited, but also amazed that the Utes could be up 21-0 in the first quarter. Even though Dustin and I both knew Utah could win if they played to their potential, we had no idea they could put the game away like they did. They just shut down that cocky SEC team! Not too shabby to end the season #2.
